Attending Introduction
A graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, IL and earned their medical degree from Midwestern University, where they also completed their residency. Following residency, pursued a prestigious fellowship at Indiana University Medical Center specializing in the latest advancements in incontinence and impotence treatments.
Continues to contribute to innovations in urologic surgery and has published 12 papers in medical journals. Board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgeons and became a Fellow. His hospital affiliations include Hollywood Community Hospital, Midway Hospital Medical Center, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Rotation Description
Additionally, your performance during this rotation will lead to obtaining a US LOR, which is essential for your upcoming residency program applications.
Diagnostic Evaluation:

History Taking and Physical Examination: Developing skills in taking urological histories and performing focused physical examinations, including genital and rectal exams.

Diagnostic Tests: Learning to interpret results of diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, urine cultures, imaging studies (ultrasound, CT scans, MRI), and urodynamic studies.
Common Urological Conditions:

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Understanding the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and management options for BPH, including medical and surgical interventions.

Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of UTIs, including differentiating between uncomplicated and complicated cases.

Kidney Stones: Evaluation, medical management, and surgical interventions for kidney stones, including lithotripsy and ureteroscopy.

Urologic Cancers: Introduction to the diagnosis and treatment of urologic malignancies such as prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and testicular cancer.

Male Infertility and Erectile Dysfunction: Understanding the evaluation and management of male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and other sexual health issues.

Discussing Treatment Options: Learning to communicate effectively with patients about their urological conditions, treatment options, risks, and benefits.

Sensitive Topics: Developing skills in discussing sensitive topics such as sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and cancer diagnosis with empathy and professionalism.
