Attending Introduction
A board-certified family medicine physician with additional expertise in obstetrics is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across all stages of life, with over 26 years of clinical experience in the Orlando area.
Educational training included serving as Chief Resident and contributing to a Primary Care Advisory Board. In addition to a longstanding commitment to medicine, there was also nine years of service as an Army Major, providing valuable experience and a strong sense of duty.
A strong commitment to education plays a central role in daily practice, with active clinical teaching roles at both Florida State University and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Clinical rotations are offered to provide hands-on learning experiences, helping students build confidence and develop essential skills in patient care. This physician remains equally dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while mentoring and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
You will have hands-on experience in the outpatient setting, including interacting with patients, taking medical histories, performing basic physical exams and observing diagnosis and treatment conditions.
Rotation Description
During your Family Medicine clinical rotation with FMG Portal, you will gain broad exposure to primary care, focusing on the comprehensive and continuous care of patients of all ages.
Additionally, your performance during this rotation will lead to obtaining a US LOR, which is essential for your upcoming residency program applications.
Patient Care:

Comprehensive Histories and Physical Exams: Conduct thorough patient interviews and physical examinations across all age groups, from infants to the elderly.

Diagnosis and Management: Develop differential diagnoses and management plans for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, such as infections, hypertension, diabetes, and musculoskeletal issues.

Preventive Care: Emphasize health maintenance and disease prevention, including vaccinations, cancer screenings, lifestyle counseling, and wellness check-ups.
Clinical Skills:

Procedures: Learn and perform common office procedures such as suturing, abscess drainage, skin biopsies, joint injections, and pap smears.

Point-of-Care Testing: Utilize office-based diagnostic tools, such as rapid strep tests, urinalysis, and glucometers.Chronic Disease Management: Monitor and adjust treatment plans for chronic illnesses, focusing on long-term patient outcomes and quality of life.
