Rotation Description
This clinical research rotation is an opportunity to gain experience in research while enhancing clinical skills. During the rotation, you will engage in activities that combine data collection, analysis, and clinical applications.
Additionally, your performance during this rotation will lead to obtaining a US LOR, which is essential for your upcoming residency program applications.
Literature Review:
- Activity: Conducting a comprehensive review of current literature relevant to the research topic.
- Goal: To gain a deep understanding of the research area, identify gaps in existing knowledge, and support hypothesis formation.
- Skills Gained: Critical analysis, understanding of research trends, ability to summarize scientific literature.
Data Collection and Management:
- Activity: Participating in the collection of clinical data through patient charts, electronic medical records (EMR), or direct patient contact (such as surveys or interviews).
- Goal: To collect accurate and complete data that can be analyzed to answer the research questions.
- Skills Gained: Attention to detail, familiarity with data management systems, patient interaction, and consent processes.
Data Analysis:
