Attending Introduction

Completed residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and has a strong passion for telehealth and telemedicine. Areas of interest include managing chronic illnesses, pain management for chronic pain, hormone replacement therapy, and erectile dysfunction treatment. Also provides consultations for chronic disease management, mental health, diabetes, plantar fasciitis, and skin conditions. Prioritizes making patients feel heard and understood, fostering a therapeutic relationship founded on trust and respect.

Rotation Description

In this clinical rotation, medical students will gain hands-on experience in the growing field of telemedicine, with a focus on Internal Medicine. Students will participate in remote patient consultations, follow-ups, and management of chronic medical conditions.

Additionally, your performance during this rotation will lead to obtaining a US LOR, which is essential for your upcoming residency program applications.


Patient Assessment via Telemedicine: 

  • Learn how to conduct virtual patient evaluations, including history taking, review of symptoms, and initial assessments.
  • Gain proficiency in using telemedicine technology and platforms to facilitate effective patient-provider communication.
  • Understand how to assess and monitor vital signs remotely, integrating telehealth tools and patient-reported outcomes.

Chronic Disease Management:

  • Develop skills in managing common internal medicine conditions through telemedicine, including diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address patients’ needs remotely, including medication adjustments, lifestyle interventions, and monitoring disease progression.

Educational Activities:

  • Case Presentations and Discussions:
    Presenting patient cases to attending physicians and peers, discussing diagnostic reasoning, and treatment plans.
    Participating in problem-based learning sessions where real or simulated cases are used to enhance critical thinking and clinical decision-making.

Typical Activities/Procedures

  • Observe and participate in live telemedicine patient consultations.
  • Review case studies and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Attend virtual seminars on advancements in telemedicine and its role in internal medicine.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop telemedicine protocols and improve patient engagement.
